Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 6, 2026

1. General Provisions

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter — "Policy") defines the procedures for processing and protecting personal data of users of the Astrovidy web application (hereinafter — "Service"). By using the Service, you automatically agree to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please discontinue use of the Service.

2. Data We Collect

The following data may be processed when using the Service:

  • Natal chart calculation data: date, time, and place of birth. This data is processed solely for performing the calculation and is not stored on the server without your explicit consent.
  • Technical information: IP address, browser type, operating system, screen parameters, visit time — for ensuring operability and improving the Service.
  • Cookies and local storage: for saving your preferences (e.g., selected interface language).
  • Analytics data: anonymous data about Service usage for improving user experience.

3. How We Use Data

Collected data is used exclusively for:

  • Providing requested services (chart calculation, horoscopes).
  • Ensuring technical operability of the Service.
  • Improving Service quality and user experience.
  • Protection against abuse and ensuring security.

We do not sell, not transfer, and do not provide your personal data to third parties, except as required by law.

4. Data Storage

Data entered for natal chart calculation is processed in the server's working memory and deleted after the calculation is complete, unless you explicitly request saving. Technical logs may be stored for up to 30 days for security purposes.

4.1. User Accounts and Registration

When you register, we store your email, name, and hashed password. The password is stored in encrypted form (bcrypt) and is inaccessible even to administrators.

In your personal cabinet, you may add your date, time, and place of birth — this data is stored in the database for your convenience (quick chart calculation). You may delete or change this data at any time.

Feedback submitted through the feedback form is stored and accessible to the administration. Messages from the administrator are available only to the intended recipient.

You have the right to request complete deletion of your account and all associated data.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data from unauthorized access, modification, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of data transmission over the Internet is absolutely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

6. Cookies

The Service uses cookies and localStorage technology to save user preferences (interface language, settings). You can disable cookies in your browser settings; however, this may limit Service functionality.

7. Third-Party Services

For geocoding (determining coordinates from a city name), the Service may access the OpenStreetMap Nominatim API. Data is transmitted as a city name without association to a specific user. Please review OpenStreetMap's privacy policy separately.

8. User Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request information about stored data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Withdraw consent to data processing by discontinuing use of the Service.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us for its deletion.

10. Policy Changes

We reserve the right to change this Policy at any time. The current version is always available on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are made constitutes your agreement to the updated Policy.

11. Contact Information

For all questions related to personal data processing, you may contact us through the feedback form on the website or by email listed in the contacts section.
